Ironstone Measuring Guide 1. Determine how many running inches of 25" deep counter tops you have (including sinks and cooktop cut outs) DIVIDE this number by 68 = number of counter top kits you need.  Island/ Pennisula kits also available- go to "Buy- On line" to purchase or learn more. Choose from three natural stone colors.  Each Color has it's own optional Ogee counter top rail.

One 5 paver counter top depth kit is $199 ea- an average kitchen requires 3 kits= $597.00. 

2.  When using our Optional Ogee Edge- determine how many running inches of outside counter top edge you have.  DIVIDE this nuber by 70 = number of stone ogee rail kits you need.  Remember to calculate both sides of eating bars, pennisulas and islands.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I have to remove my laminate or tile surface?

A: Yes, we do recommend removing any tile or laminate product on your surface.

Q: Do you have installers in my area?

A: The simple answer to this is usually "Yes!"  You would need to talk to a professional tile installer in your neighborhood.  If they have a wet saw- they can install Ironstone.

Q: Do I have to use your stone nosing kits?

A: No, some of our customers choose to use their own decorative wood edge on site or other local counter rail.

Q: Will I ever have to reseal my grout lines?

A: No, the seams that you see in the picture appear every 14" and are sealed, not grouted, with a special silicone seam sealer that comes with each purchase.

Q: How is this comparable to other countertops on the market?

A: The biggest difference is price and durability. You can pay twice as much to have soap stone or concrete installed, or you can use the honed stone kits from Get Cooking and achieve a similar look, but with no maintenance requirements.  Unlike granite, this surface does not require sealing!  Go ahead- put you searing skillets on this surface!  This surface is the hardiest on the market! 

Q: How do I receive an estimate for my kitchen?

A: We encourage our customers to call us directly and speak with one of our kitchen designers when you are having difficulty calculating the number of sel install kits you need for your project.  All we need is a rough layout of your countertop with dimensions. Q: How long from the order date will it take for me to receive my kits?

A: We are in high demand thanks to all the makeover tv shows that love Ironstone.  Our shipping time is approximate 3-4 weeks.  We have a quick ship- two week turn around- for an additional $100 charge.  Ironstone production is made to order and shipped directly from our Wichita warehouse.

Q: How much is shipping going to cost me?

A: All of our kits currently come with free shipping. The price that you are quoted over the phone will be the price you pay- no shipping charges (within the Continental USA) and no sales tax (If ordered out of the state of Kansas).  We have shipped as far as Canada and Alaska for additional fees.  These fees are for additional mileage and palletizing the product.  The additional shipping charges out of the Continental USA start at $450.  Sorry- we do not ship overseas.
